About Us

My name is Tony and I wanted to share my passion for Mustangs through this web site.

The name Forgotten Pony comes from the fact that not to many people seem to remember or care for the 1974-1978 era Mustangs, what people do not realize is that the Mustang II as it was called, is the car that kept the Mustang assembly line rolling for Ford at a time when sales had slumped. In 1973 Mustang sales were 134, 817 In 1974 Mustang sales shot to 385,993. WOW! The fact the Mustang II 1974-1978 doesn´t have a following like the 1964 to 1973 or 1979 to present Mustang’s makes it in my eyes a more rare example of the American Pony.

When was the last time you went to a car show and saw a really nice Mustang II? The 1978 Mustang II King Cobra has the lowest build numbers of all the Cobras ever built. (Think about that one!) On this web site you will see an example of some of the FORGOTTEN PONY’S and other nice Mustangs in my CORALL.

Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. Remember, that if not for the Mustang II, there might not be a Mustang Today!
